AG-NAV Field Trip
AG-NAV Field Trip
On June 11, 2010, the AG-NAV team took a trip to Lucan, Ontario to visit General Airspray Ltd., a family owned and operated company that specializes in spraying services for the agriculture and forestry industries. General Airspray Ltd. has been in business since 1961 and is the owner of six AG-NAV guidance systems.
Paul Hodgins, President and owner of General Airspray Ltd., welcomed our employees at his hangar. Generously having placed all his aircraft on display for our inspection, he gave our team members a better understanding of how these aeroplanes work, what the pilot does during an application, and how our GPS systems are used in a real world setting.
Towards the end of the afternoon, Mr. Hodgins gave the AG-NAV team a treat by running a mock spray demonstration. For some employees, this was the first time seeing a crop duster in action.
This field trip has been a great experience for AG-NAV. Team members have learned more about what a pilot experiences during flight and how our products can be modified to better suit their needs. At the same time, the team was able to learn more about the aeroplanes used by our customers. We can now take this experience and continue to serve all of our clients better.
After a much needed break, the AG-NAV team returned to the office ready for the 2010 season with this new knowledge fresh in their minds.
