GUIA SOFTWARE UPDATE VERSION 1.7.2

This past August, Ag-Nav Inc. released for download Guia software update Version 1.7.2.

New features of Version 1.7.2 include the following:

1. Flying Multiple Areas:  When you fly multiple areas defined in a shape file (*.shp) or a project file (*.prj) you can select to show all polygons onscreen or just the selected one.  The default is to show all polygons.  To change the option, select Settings – Display.  Select “Yes” for “Display All Polygons” to show all polygons.  Select “No” to show only the selected polygon.

To select a polygon to spray, use the function key <ListZone> to get the list of polygon names.  Highlight the polygon you want to spray then select <OK>.  Note that the polygon names must be in *.dbf file under field name “BLOCKID”.  If this field name is not found, the first column will be used for polygon names.  All blocks or polygons which have the same name will be grouped for spraying together, just like a project.

When selecting to “Display All Polygons”, all polygons in shape file or project file will be shown.  Only the selected polygon, for example DH00111B, has grid lines for guidance.

When selecting “No” to “Display All Polygons”, only the selected polygon, for example DH00111B, is shown.

2. Split-Bdy:  When you select to fly an area generated by Split-Bdy, the spray pattern will be Split field starting from line 1.  Next line will be in the middle of field, then line 2, etc...
3. Grid Line Regeneration:  Every time you select to fly an old area, Guia will check spacing and heading of grid lines saved in *.xyz file, then compare them with swath width and line heading settings.  If the current grid lines are not consistent with settings, they will be regenerated.
4. FlightMaster: Problem when entering MET data manually was fixed.  Wind speed and outside temperature are read in correct units now.  Note this problem only happens when you don’t use a MET probe.
