On Target Off Target Flow Control

AG-NAV Inc. is pleased to introduce the Automatic Target ON/OFF (ATOO) system. It is the next step in the process of integrating today’s advanced technology with the world of aerial application. The ATOO system allows for worry-free automatic product dispersant control. When the ATOO system is tied together with AG-NAV’s AG-FLOW, it becomes the world’s most advanced, fully automatic spray control system available on the market.

How the system works:

The ATOO provides automatic boom on/off control by either opening or closing a 3-way valve to allow product to flow to the boom system or to allow the product to re-circulate back to the tank. The Boom “ON/OFF” control is triggered by a predetermined mapped area or polygon set in either the AG-NAV2 or Guia Guidance systems.

Function of the 3 position switch:

The Target Flow system includes a 3 position control switch used to perform the following functions:

Run: When in the “RUN” position the Target Flow will respond to Boom ON/OFF commands sent by the Guia or AG-NAV2 guidance system. The system will open the 3-way valve to allow for product to flow to the boom system when the aircraft is inside the predetermined spray polygon. The system will also close the valve to allow for product to re-circulate back to the tank when the aircraft is outside the predetermined spray polygon or crossing an exclusion or buffer zone.

Off: When the system is in the “OFF” (center) position the 3-way valve will not respond to any commands sent from the Guia or AG-NAV2 guidance system and will stay in its current position.

DUMP: When the system is in the “DUMP” position the 3-way valve will not respond to any commands sent from the Guia or AG-NAV2 Guidance system and will change the position of the valve to a fully open state allowing product to flow freely to the boom system.
