FlightMasterTM
Drift Compensation System
For Aerial Application
|
Description:
FlightMasterTM is a next generation guidance system that utilizes a new proprietary drift compensation
module, to optimally determine flight line offset requirements for aerial adulticide sprays. It's designed
exclusively to integrate with the proven and established Ag-Nav® GPS aerial guidance system. Together, these
two advanced aerial guidance tools deliver unprecedented aerial application accuracy.
FlightMaster was designed to integrate seamlessly with either Navvieww desktop from Ag-Nav or Clarke VCMS
data management system. The FlightMaster module is small and light weight enough that it can easily be taken in
and out of the cockpit to download via cable to the storage and analytical system of your choice. Or, just download
the mission data onto a jump drive and transfer to Navvieww or VCMS. The built-in hard drive in the FlightMaster
drift compensation module records up to 20 hours of flight data. So on routine or even emergency missions, you
won't need to worry about losing key data for record keeping.
How FlightMaster works:
 |
The FlightMaster System is groundbreaking in that it is not only the first such drift compensation system, but also
because it is written exclusively for the products, droplet size and craft used. Here's how FlightMaster increases accuracy
in flight line guidance for operational sprays:
- Real time meteorology from an onboard MET package is fed into the FlightMaster drift compensation module.
There, the computer model takes into account other pre-programmed variables such as:
- Product being applied
- Target species
- Droplet spectrum being used
- Aircraft
- Height
Then it calculates the location of peak droplet deposition as well as offset required to obtain optimum accuracy
in the target block based on spray cloud movement through the block, versus droplet deposition.
- The on-board GIS/GPS system and pre-mission programming/mapping make it possible to set spray booms
to automatically turn on/off based on spray block boundaries as well as spray exclusion areas.
- As one flight line is being flown, FlightMaster is simultaneously calculating the next flight line
based on real time data. So as the pilot ends one flight line, his next flight line appears on the Ag-Nav screen.
The pilot is free to turn and enter his next flight line with no distractions.
- Flight line guidance is based on spray cloud movement to maximize accuracy.
- Data capture permits full recording of application and decision parameters (application, meteorology, offsets)
and can even be replayed in flight.
- Post spray evaluation showing:
- Flight paths
- Boom activity (on/off)
- Location of optimized spray cloud movement within target block
- All data can be downloaded onto either NavViewwTM or VCMS® desktop
for record keeping, analysis or mapping.
